Solar Panel Installation

Build Solar Panels

Build your own solar panel! Instead of buying them, you can make solar panels yourself. You don’t need special tools. You will need: photovoltaic cells, semi conductor block, a power converter, solar plates, conductor wires and a battery. Obviously, you can buy these parts individually.

Build a solar panel by yourself!

1: The solar plates and the photovoltaic cells need to be joined. Photovoltaic cells are the component that produce electricity from sunlight. The solar plates are placed on top of the photovoltaic cells. The ends of the solar plate and photovoltaic cells should kept in place with wires.

2: Then the semi conductor block is tied with conductor wires.

3: Position the plates so that they are in the best place to absorb as much sunlight as possible.  Now, the angle and direction will vary depending where you are on our little green and blue planet, but typically the angle should be between 15-25 degrees.

4: Not everything the cells collect from the sun will be useful for creating energy. This is what the converter is for! It’s used to filter the energy and to remove the useless bits.

5: Finally we need to attach the battery to collect energy. The more batteries you have, the more energy you can store.  Also, having the energy stored in a format that you can use was probably the whole point of building your own solar panels!
